Nunca fui fã de concursos de beleza. Na verdade, nunca entendi como comparar tantas belezas diferentes e como os jurados conseguiriam avaliar pessoas diferentes nos mesmos quesitos. Não costumo acompanhar o miss universo por achar que é um concurso extremamente desnecessário, que exclui a beleza convencional e cria um padrão de beleza extremamente difícil de alcançar.
Neste ano a situação começou um pouco diferente, o que me fez acreditar que o concurso começaria uma nova fase, com mulheres de diversas belezas. Mulheres que não são magras-padrão, muitas negras, cabelos crespos, mulheres maravilhosas que fogem do padrão socialmente aceito no mundo inteiro. Claro que eu não podia perder, né?! Podia! Podia e devia ter perdido.
Aqui do Brasil, quem acompanhou via TV aberta no canal que transmite em tempo real, pôde perceber a quantidade de comentários desnecessários proferidos pelos apresentadores. Desnecessários talvez não seja a palavra certa, podemos usar gordofóbicos, racistas, machistas e com preconceito exacerbado.
Em um dado momento, um dos comentaristas chegou a dizer que uma das candidatas, por não ter o corpo magro-padrão, tinha entrado no concurso por meio de cotas. Como se o corpo dela a impedisse de participar de algum concurso de beleza. E te digo: ela participou e ganhou em seu país. Fiquei tão chocada que precisava vir aqui desabafar.
Eu acredito que toda beleza é única. Não importa se somos magras ou gordas, brancas ou negras, com qualquer tipo de cabelo, coloração, tamanho dos olhos, do nariz, dos lábios. A beleza de cada mulher é incomparável e única. Fico pensando em quantas mulheres que se identificaram com as misses, vítimas desse preconceito em rede nacional, e como elas se sentiram ao ouvir tudo que foi propagado em TV aberta.
Nem tudo está perdido.
Enfim, está feito meu desabafo. A parte boa e positiva é que os padrões do Miss Universo estão mudando. De 1952, ano de criação, até hoje, muitas mulheres fora do padrão vêm ganhando voz e espaço na mídia. Vamos torcer para isso só aumentar e que diminuam os comentários que vimos ontem a noite.
